The activities undertaken at Teamwork are wide and varied.
One aspect is a range of commercial and light industrial work.
Not only is this a meaningful activity in a real work
environment, it also helps to provide
a large part of our income.
In addition, we run a varied
programme of training courses,
mainly supplied by Tresham Institute and Lifelong Learning.
These include art and
crafts, pottery, leather-crafts, communication skills, training
in management and
supervision skills, food hygiene, literacy and numeracy, and
computer literacy.
On the job training is also available in the various skills
needed to carry out the work
done at Teamwork. This includes manual and production skills,
office work, management
and supervision, catering, gardening and despatch work. Those
who wish may become
involved in the management, supervision, training, quality
control and administration of
the organisation.
Out of hours social activities also take place, and there are
opportunities to take part
in local support and service user groups.
