Teamwork Trust was ranked joint-first for its 'robust' and 'well thought through' funding application to Northamptonshire County Council (NCC) - securing the organisation’s future as a charity.

The council’s five-year funding remains one of Teamwork’s primary sources of income, and will enable the charity to continue to provide important services to Northamptonshire adults with learning and physical disabilities – with even greater opportunities to develop and improve key areas of provision.

“The main focus for the county council and care services in Northamptonshire is the progression of service-users – giving individuals more self-confidence, independence, skills and even job prospects. We’ve already been working towards this model for many years.”

John Bruce, strategic director at Teamwork Trust, added: “Our services, such as the factory floor work experience we offer at all of our centres, will become even more focused on ‘living and learning’ so that our members have the work and life skills they need for them to achieve their individual potential.

“We are thrilled that our funding application was rated joint-first and that it was so highly acclaimed by council leaders, as it shows we are leading the way in terms of our approach.”

Teamwork Trust senior managers will be working closely with council representatives to ensure the successful delivery of NCC-funded services.
