20th November 2018: Counsellors and therapists from across the Midlands were among those inspired during a training day organised by Teamwork Trust and delivered by one of the UK’s top counselling psychologists - Mick Cooper.

Thirty six people, including counsellors, private practitioners, clinical supervisors and counselling lecturers and students attended the one-off workshop, which had been organised by Northamptonshire charity Teamwork Trust.

During the training, Mick Cooper - a well-respected author and professor of Counselling Psychology at Roehampton University, London - presented his ‘Working at Relational Depth’ workshop, where he covered the effects of and how to relate to clients in therapy.

Teamwork Trust counsellor, Nicola Woods said: “We organised this workshop for Teamwork Trust counsellors and other studying and working therapists across the Midlands to give practitioners a deeper understanding of the theory in a practical way, and to enable them to enhance their client work by applying this newfound understanding. Mick is a very inspiring trainer and everyone’s feedback was that they learnt a lot from this very stimulating, challenging and hugely rewarding workshop.”
