23rd November 2020:

We have been working hard at Teamwork Trust so that our service-users feel supported, happy and safe wherever they are.

As national measures across England continue, we are continually building on our blended ‘Living & Learning’ programme so that there are lots of options for people, whether they choose to attend our Teamwork Trust centres or stay at home.

What’s happening in our Teamwork Trust centres?

At the moment our centres are open five days a week for small groups to access emotional support and wellbeing activities – keeping our members active and having fun.

Our centres are clean, safe and welcoming with minimal numbers in at any one time.

At home

The blended remote and digital service we created during the last lockdown brought about some truly remarkable results and success stories, so we have built on that and made it even better.

Those at home get to choose from a daily timetable which includes…

  • Staying in touch – This is standard for everyone. We make regular calls over the phone or on Zoom to service-users and their families or carers as often as they need.
  • Deliveries – This is another standard. We deliver weekly work tasks, activities, tutorials, personalised letters and resource packs to doorsteps to keep service-users busy – these are relevant to each individual based on their hobbies, interests and where they need to develop new skills. We also deliver food parcels and medication to those who are unable to leave their home.
  • Accredited learning – Our certified Maths and English classes are still running online, and we are helping members access other education opportunities, exams and online groups so they can keep learning and developing.
  • Socialising – Our digital and online sessions are lots of fun with:

* PE with Nick

* Tallie’s Kitchen Disco

* Book Club

* Virtual Choir

* Lunchtime cook-along sessions

* Zoom quiz nights (specially created as we know a lot of evening activities have had to be cancelled by other providers)

* Weekly coffee mornings

* Socially distanced walking groups
