Kettering Park Hotel & Spa has pledged support for a local charity which supports Northamptonshire people with mental health needs, learning and physical disabilities.

The Kettering business has selected Teamwork Trust, which has centres in Kettering, Corby and Wellingborough, as its charity of the year, with activities already being planned to support the charity, including some fundraising opportunities.

General Manager of the hotel, Andrew Hollett, was introduced to the charity last year and was so impressed with the impact they make he wanted to do more to help.

Andrew said: “It’s a fantastic charity and we’re very proud to be supporting it. Through their support and guidance so many local people have found the confidence to achieve their goals, regardless of their needs or abilities.

“Our hotel has helped raise funds for local good causes in the past and it’s particularly nice to think that our support for Teamwork Trust will make a lasting difference to people’s lives right here in our local community.

“We will be helping the charity with fundraising through the year but there’s also a chance for us to be a bit more hands on through occasional volunteering or by offering opportunities for the charity’s members to enjoy our hospitality. We’re looking forward to working with Teamwork Trust more in the future.”

Nick Hayton, Business and Fund Development Officer at Teamwork Trust, added: “A huge thank you to Kettering Park Hotel & Spa for choosing to support us. Our members, many of whom enjoy cookery classes with us, are so excited at the prospect of visiting the hotel and seeing a kitchen and restaurant in action. We look forward to working closely with Andrew and his team and want to reiterate how grateful we are that a local business is giving back locally, enabling us to provide much needed and often life changing support to our members.”
