We will continue to run our remote and digital ‘Living & Learning’ programme while our three Teamwork Trust centres are closed so that service-users feel supported, happy and safe at home.

Due to the latest national lockdown restrictions across England, our Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough centres were not able to reopen after the Christmas period. Instead, our members - autistic adults and adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs in Northamptonshire - now get to choose from a daily timetable of education classes, emotional support and wellbeing activities so that they stay active and have fun.

What does this look like?

• Staying in touch – This is standard for everyone. We make regular calls over the phone or on Zoom to service-users and their families or carers as often as they need.
• Accredited learning – Our certified Maths and English classes are still running online, and we are helping members access other education opportunities, exams and online groups so they can keep learning and developing.
• Socialising – Our digital and online sessions are lots of fun with:

* Tallie’s Kitchen Disco

* Book Club

* Virtual Choir

* Lunchtime cook-along sessions

* Zoom quiz nights

* Weekly coffee mornings

We will continue to seek government guidance, and work with Northamptonshire Adult Social Services (NASS), Public Health England and other providers as we plan the reopening of our centres. We will keep our website, social media channels updated with any changes and, of course, keep in touch with our service-users, parents and carers directly too.
