Our members are encouraged to link individual learning to their personal care plans. Learners receive regular feedback, working to individual learning plans, and tutors complete and support Teamwork's assessment process.

One of our members is Campbell McBride, 23, who is photographed above: “I’m not sure what I would do or where I would go without Teamwork Trust. I have loads of mates here and like the karaoke, walking club and sports. I get to hang out with my friends and have a reason to get up in the morning.”

We offer classes in the following key areas:

Employability skills – we offer a host of classes to suit our member’s needs, everything from CV writing and job application skills to interview preparation and health and safety at work.

Arts and crafts – our members can sign up classes, learning skills such as pottery and sewing, to print making mosaics and felt making.

Independent living skills – one example is our cookery classes, which give members catering and food preparation skills and develop life skills such as how to identify healthy foods, the importance of food hygiene and budgeting. Members are able to cook their own lunch and sit together to encourage social skills development.

Communication, literacy and numeracy – our members are encouraged to increase qualifications or maintain skills whilst learning new, fun and interesting facts.

ICT and computer skills - students can maintain and develop ICT skills and are encouraged to participate in internet safety courses.
