Teamwork Trust is a North Northamptonshire charity and social enterprise which works with and supports autistic adults, people with learning disabilities and individuals with mental health needs.

Our three centres – based in Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough – are friendly, safe and supportive places in which our service users make new friends, access education and employment experiences, and take part in on and off-site activities and classes.
We have a packed programme of living and learning projects & activities as well as wellbeing and counselling programmes and it is our service users who help to steer and plan everything we do.

• 9 Month - Temporary contract
• £22k pa pro rata
• 10 hours per week based across all three sites- Kettering, Corby and Wellingborough
( Must be able to attend all sites)

Key responsibilities:
• A good general standard of education
• Good IT skills and experience of using Microsoft Office and databases
• Accredited safeguarding training
• Up to date knowledge of volunteering
• A good understanding of social exclusion and the principles of recovery
• Developing and growing an empowering volunteering programme
• Managing volunteers in a service delivery setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal
• Manage conflicting priorities and one’s own time with minimal supervision.
• Develop & deliver a person centred approach and to assess, plan & review an individuals’ needs
• Creativity & original thinking whilst developing practical solutions to problems
• Administration and organisational skills
• Support the safeguarding of individuals and protecting confidentiality

• A commitment to the participation of service users in decision-making processes, and in the design and delivery of the services they access

• Ability and willingness to work some evening and weekends
• Accredited volunteer management training or related CPD
• Experience of supervising and organizing groups of individuals
• Innovative methods of attracting and communicating with volunteers
• Ability to provide guidance and support to volunteers in a professional and empowering way
• Planning, monitoring, auditing & evaluating work to meet objectives
• Co-production and Service-User design
• Delivering a volunteering programme in line with contractual and organisation requirements.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with other agencies
• Recruitment, selection and induction of volunteers

Must have access to a vehicle as means of transport

As Teamwork Trust’s Volunteering co-ordinator you will be based across all three sites and will have previous working experience in delivering volunteering to adults.
This role will suit a person who is able to co-ordinate a programme of volunteering opportunities within Teamwork. Support and develop volunteers and their roles in line with volunteering best practice standards
To be successful in this role you will be required to support service users to progress and succeed towards individual progression goals, maintain the privacy and dignity of individuals and respect the individual’s choices, chances, and aspirations.

Requirements of the role:
• Recruitment, support and development of volunteers within an organisation
• Designing and implementing a clear Volunteer Pathway
• Lead in the development and delivery of all aspects of the volunteer programme, giving people with lived experience the opportunity to develop skills and add value to our work
• Maintenance of volunteering records and provide reports in line with contract requirements
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and able to be responsible for individual data and accurate record keeping
Motivated to drive the service forward sharing new ideas and initiatives.

Holds a current enhanced DBS.
Is able and willing to work evenings and weekends.
