Service User Ben proudly passes Tier 1 of The Oliver McGowan Training of part of a Trio.  

Having undergone an interview for the role, Ben was very proud to be offered the Lived Experience Role assisting in delivery of The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Tier 1 

Working alongside another service user with lived experience and a senior manager in NNC.  Ben was supported by Teamwork staff to complete the training needed to be a trainer.  Ben has now delivered The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Tier 1 one-hour online training course to staff across health and care course successfully.

We are very proud of Ben’s commitment and hard work to achieve qualifying as an OM trainer – he has enjoyed using his lived experience to support the delivery of training, to answer questions about what Autism is like for him makes it more real for the learners and he has been confident and honest in sharing his experience.  We look forward to the next steps in Ben’s work

The Trio are now approved to: 

• deliver The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Tier 1 one-hour online training course to staff across health and care

 

The Trio will deliver several sessions of the above training first and when they are confident of this delivery will then start the training of other staff as  below

 

• train Tier 1 trios to deliver The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Tier 1 one-hour online training course to staff across health and care
• train Tier 1 trios to deliver The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Tier 1 4-hour trainer training to further Tier 1 trios
