Teamwork are delighted to announce that they have been accepted on the AVIVA ‘Save Our Wild Isles’ (SOWI) project, a match funding opportunity not to be missed.

SOWI is a 2:1 crowd funding initiative run by AVIVA – thus every £1 you pledge AVIVA puts in £2 so your £1 becomes £3. How wonderful is this.

The UK is home to some of the most incredible plants and animals on Earth, but our wildlife is in trouble and we need to take urgent action to protect and restore nature before we lose any more species for ever. AVIVA are providing funding to support community groups and charities who will work together to plant community gardens, support local wildlife and protect and restore nature in their local area. 

Teamwork have 2 projects planned. The first with a local retirement home in Corby planting  bee and butterfly friendly plants and herbs in accessible to all planters. This to increase the biodiversity of the area but also to encourage residents to get out, use the garden and improve their mental and physical health.

The second project is to create a kitchen garden at Teamwork – initially in Corby and depending on the amount of funding raised extend this to improve outdoor areas in our other centres and possibly the wider community.
