From apprentice to Centre Lead in just two years - Northamptonshire charity Teamwork Trust

February 2024: An award-winning former apprentice from Northamptonshire charity Teamwork Trust has been promoted to Centre Lead – less than four years after first joining the organisation aged 18.

Macy Henderson, 22, started at Teamwork Trust in 2020, studying for an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. She completed in May 2022 - overcoming the challenges of lock-down to pass with flying colours. She then secured a junior leadership role at the charity’s Corby site and most recently was promoted to the position of Centre Lead at Teamwork Trust’s Wellingborough site.

Macy said: “I am extremely proud to have secured this role and look forward to building on the excellent work of Kizzy, who has been centre lead here for the last couple of years. Teamwork has made me a more confident person.

“I have grown hugely since first joining the organisation and now love little more than making a positive difference to our service users here. I have been welcomed into the Wellingborough centre with open arms and can’t wait to spend time to get to know everyone! I am so grateful to Teamwork and what it has done for me let alone the amazing service we provide for individuals that count on us to help them progress to their goals. I am excited for the future of Teamwork Trust and look forward to hopefully many more happy years here.”

Helen Burdett-Wright, chief executive at Teamwork Trust, added: “Macy has consistently gone the extra mile. She puts her personality and kindness into all she does. She loves taking part, learning new things and also then sharing her skills. Her generosity of knowledge is incredible and we are extremely lucky to have Macy here with us and in such a pivotal role.”

Teamwork Trust service users love Macy.
